Wadebridge Good Food & Craft Day 17th April, This colourful, bustling all-day food market will once again be lining the whole of pedestrianised Molesworth Street in the centre of town, with artisan food producers offering some of the tastiest food from around our region.

Porthleven food festival 22nd -23rd April, Helston.The festival takes place in the picturesque harbour town of Porthleven, West Cornwall, expect all day cooking demos, food and craft stalls surrounding the harbour, music, dancing, performances, music, art and cooking workshops

Charity Garden Open weekend at Tregothnan22nd – 23rd April Tregothnan Estate are delighted to announce that the 2016 chosen charity is Cancer Research UK for their annual open weekend. Tickets for the event are limited to ensure the UK's largest garden opening is a pleasurable experience.

Tregothnan is preparing to open its usually private gates to give an insight into the workings of the largest historic garden in Cornwall. Open for one weekend only on the 16 and 17 April 2016,  visitors can experience Tregothnan’s unequalled diversity of trees, rare collections, sweeping vistas and peaceful secluded groves on the banks of the beautiful river Fal.

Art8- Newquay Arts and Culture Festival 22nd – 24th April . Three days bursting at the seams with events, exhibits and workshops involving film, craft, spoken word, dance, photography, theatre, music, literature and more. It's a community festival with something for everyone - young and old, residents and visitors alike - with all activities free or low-cost.

 

Cornwall international male voice choral festival 27th April – 1st May Male choirs of all ages (from boys to senior citizens partipate in concerts, sing in in tourist attractions, educational activites and competitions.

Over 50 events at over 40 locations across Cornwall. Over 60 choirs will be participating with mor ethan 20 in competitions.

St Ives May Day 1st May Celebrating the end of winter and the coming of spring, a tradition that stretches back hundreds of years in West Cornwall. The town is filled with parades, traditional Cornish dancing and music to entertain all the family.

Helston Floral Day 6th May This famous celebration, believed to be pre-Christian, was once banned in Victorian times as a 'drunken revelry'. Dancing begins at 7am. A great family day out.

Port Eliot Dog festival 6th May, St Germans. Port Eliot Dog Festival and Whippet Tea Party. For humans there will be an array of stalls, cream teas and other refreshments, a treasure hunt and other activities for kids.

Fowey Festival of Art and Literature6th – 13th May Vibrant annual festival of events, exhibitions, workshops, guided walks and river cruises.

St Ives Food and Drink Festival 12th – 14th May A celebration and gathering of some of the finest food & drink producers and chefs in Cornwall which will take place in St Ives on Porthminster Beach– its believed to be the UK’s only beach food and drink festival.

Lostfest14th May, Lostwithel. Eclectic mix of events with over 100 arts, crafts, food stalls and demonstrations, plus non-stop street music.

Polo on the Beach19th – 21st May, Watergate Bay Newquay. Polo on the Beach weekend event takes place at Watergate Bay near Newquay, with the promise of speed and excitement featuring some of the country’s top professional polo players.

Bude and Stratton folk festival26th – 29th May . Bude & Stratton Folk Festival is small friendly and very welcoming. It is held in the picturesque surroundings of Bude and nearby Stratton in North Cornwall on the late May Bank Holiday weekend. The Festival always welcomes a wide range of talented guest performers. This year these include internationally known folk artists such as Jim Causley, Jackie Oates and Liam Robinson. We are delighted also to welcome school children from Bude Junior School, who will give a dance display on Saturday morning and local morris sides, who will be dancing during the weekend.  Festival goers can participate in a variety of workshops, open mic stages, music sessions and sing arounds.

Fal River Festival29th May – 4th June Celebrating life on the river Fal this is a community festival encompassing over 150 events, including a fish festival, gig racing, swimming, wildlife walks and lots more.

Looe Festival of the Sea 4th June. The Festival of the Sea on Sunday 4th May 2017 in conjunction with celebrations to mark 150 years of the Looe Lifeboat. Avaried programme of marine related activities & music entertain the crowds in a wonderful family day.

Royal Cornwall Show 8th – 10th June, Wadebridge. Cornwall’s showcase since 1793 and a fascinating glimpse into rural life. Apart from the livestock judging, there is the famous flower tent, show jumping and a fast and furious inter-hunt relay.

Polperrow Music festival10th – 18th June, Polperrow. Includes plenty of live music, an arts and crafts fair, comedy night, lighting of the solstice bonfire, colourful village carnival and a unique mock mayor choosing ceremony. 2017 dates subject to confirmation.

St. Austell feast week17th – 24th June Traditional week of feasten activities around the celebration of the Feast of Saint Austol, the last of which took place in 1946.

Saltash Regatta and waterside festival17th – 18th June. Saltash Regatta is one of the most colourful waterside festivals in South East Cornwall. You will find gig rowing events as well as entertainment on the shore.

Launceston Food and Drink Festival 17th June. Launceston Food and Drink Festival will see the town square filled with quality pop up restaurants and a beer, cider and wine tent.

Golowan Festival 23rd – 28th June A traditional boat festival, running in tandem with the well-established and much loved Golowan Festival. Owners and crews of traditional style boats are invited to come and enjoy the atmosphere.

Mevagissey Feast week25th June – 1st July A blend of traditional and contemporary events which bring the whole community together and welcomes hundreds of visitors to join the celebrations

Lafrowda Festival1st – 15th July. This annual event celebrating community arts and first took place in 1996 developing from a music festival into what is now a two week community arts festival. Lafrowda is the ancient name for the church lands where the village of St Just in Penwith stands today.

Bodmin Riding and Heritage day 1st July, Lands End. An annual event celebrating community arts with twelve hours of free entertainment to suit every taste, with street performers, stalls, refreshments, bouncy castles and three spectacular processions.

Garden Truro 5th – 10th July Truro takes pride in its beautiful parks, gardens and open spaces so to celebrate this, the Garden Truro festival brings the best of the city¹s green spaces to Lemon Quay in the heart of Truro.

Rock Oyster festival 14th – 16th July, Wadebridge.  A midsummer celebration of food, music and art, taking place at the stunning venue of 17th century Dinham House overlooking the Camel Estuary near Wadebridge.

Cornish steam and county fair 18th – 20th August Redruth. Previously know as the West of England Steam Rally. Up to 100 full size and miniature steam engines from all over the country, rural craft displays & children's entertainment. 

Bude Carnival 19th August. Delightful annual carnival procession through Bude, money collected on the day is donated to local charities and organisations. Afternoon events are held in the Castle Grounds.

Newlyn fish festival 28th August Celebrating all things fishy in Britain’s premier fishing port where you can satisfy your appetite with the best seafood you’re likely to find anywhere and help to raise money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival 8th – 10th September, Truro. The Little Apple Festival is held over 3 days within the grounds of Healey's Cyder farm where the famous Rattler Cyder is created – Tickets include tractor rides around the orchards and working farm and free Cyder samples.

British Paddle surfing national championships 30th September – 1st October. the two-day stand up paddle surfing tournament at Watergate bay, Newquay, in which British champions will be crowned.
