Menheniot Farmers market, Second Saturday of each Month, A monthly event for South East Cornwall: quality local produce including meats, bread, cakes, preserves, chutney, honey, fruit and vegetables. Refreshments served throughout the morning.

 

Fal River Festival29th May – 4th June Celebrating life on the river Fal this is a community festival encompassing over 150 events, including a fish festival, gig racing, swimming, wildlife walks and lots more.

 

Southwest Paddle fest2nd – 4th June, Kingsands. paddling festival in support of Penhaligon’s Friends for bereaved children, brings together all kayakers, canoeists and stand-up paddle board enthusiasts, friends and their families. Come along and join in or just support.

 

Launceston Food and Drink Festival 3rd  June. Launceston Food and Drink Festival will see the town square filled with quality pop up restaurants and a beer, cider and wine tent.

 

Looe Festival of the Sea and raft race 4th June. The Festival of the Sea on Sunday 4th May 2017 in conjunction with celebrations to mark 150 years of the Looe Lifeboat. Avaried programme of marine related activities & music entertain the crowds in a wonderful family day.

Royal Cornwall Show 8th – 10th June, Wadebridge. Cornwall’s showcase since 1793 and a fascinating glimpse into rural life. Apart from the livestock judging, there is the famous flower tent, show jumping and a fast and furious inter-hunt relay.

Looe Lugger Regatta, 9th – 11th June. This bi-annual regatta in the busy seaside town of Looe is a celebration of the area’s fishing heritage. Traditional Luggers, two masted sailing boats once common along the coasts of England and France, head to the historical port for the regatta.

Polperrow Music festival10th – 18th June, Polperrow. Includes plenty of live music, an arts and crafts fair, comedy night, lighting of the solstice bonfire, colourful village carnival and a unique mock mayor choosing ceremony. 2017 dates subject to confirmation.

Golowan Festival 16th  – 25th June A traditional boat festival, running in tandem with the well-established and much loved Golowan Festival. Owners and crews of traditional style boats are invited to come and enjoy the atmosphere.

Falmouth international sea shanty festival 16th – 18th June fantastic free festival of maritime music and a great way to soak up the true atmosphere of Falmouth’s seafaring past with performances by dozens of groups from all the UK and beyond.

Falmouth Classics Regatta 16th – 18th June The  best Classic Boat Rallies comes to Falmouth, Cornwall & coincides with the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. The highlight of the regatta is the Parade of Sail & Power, as competitors

Murdoc Day 17th June, Redruth. Redruth's annual celebration of its most famous citizen, inventor William Murdoch. The programme of events includes children's dance and art procession, all day music and entertainment, street market, old tyme fair and much more. 

 

Port Eliot Dog Festival, 17th June. Port Eliot Dog Festival and Whippet Tea Party. For humans there will be an array of stalls, cream teas and other refreshments, a treasure hunt and other activities for kids.

Winifred Nicholson Exhibition, Falmouth Art Gallery 24th June – 16th September This summer Falmouth Art Gallery is one of only three venues in the UK playing host to a major touring exhibition of work by artist Winifred Nicholson. 

Mevagissey Feast week25th June – 1st July A blend of traditional and contemporary events which bring the whole community together and welcomes hundreds of visitors to join the celebrations

Lafrowda Festival1st – 15th July. This annual event celebrating community arts and first took place in 1996 developing from a music festival into what is now a two week community arts festival. Lafrowda is the ancient name for the church lands where the village of St Just in Penwith stands today.

Bodmin Riding and Heritage day 1st July, Lands End. An annual event celebrating community arts with twelve hours of free entertainment to suit every taste, with street performers, stalls, refreshments, bouncy castles and three spectacular processions.

War Horse Only Remembered, Pentillie castle & Estate, 2nd July. War Horse Only Remembered with Michael Morpurgo and West-end star Ben Murray.  Sunday 2nd July 2017. Gardens open from 5.00pm. Performance at 7.00pm. 

Penzance Literary festival 5th – 8th July. The Penzance Literary Festival is a festival for everyone who enjoys words – the written word, the spoken word, the recited word and the sung word too. 

Electric beach festival 7th – 9th July, Watergate Bay. The Electric Beach Festival returns to the golden sands of Watergate Bay, near Newquay.

Rock Oyster festival 7th – 8th July, Wadebridge.  A midsummer celebration of food, music and art, taking place at the stunning venue of 17th century Dinham House overlooking the Camel Estuary near Wadebridge.

Cornish Coast Exhibition, 7th – 22nd July West Cornwall. New Cornish Coast exhibtion featuring Gemma Pearce, Mark Poprawski and Michael Sander at the Lighthouse Gallery in Penzance.

Tropical Pressure Festival 7th – 8th July, Truro. Tropical Pressure Festival - Celebrating the rich cultures of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean on the cliffs of Cornwall.

Liskeard Agricultural show 8th July, Merrymeet. Fab day out for all the family, traditional country show (like Royal Cornwall, but smaller!)

Camborne Show 15th July  Agricultural Show with competitions, attractions, craft and general sales, refreshments and live entertainment

Stithians Agricultural show 17th July, Stithians. Musical entertainment, food courts, craft stalls, a fairground, and animals of all sorts including rare breeds, a dog show and dog agility & agility exhibitions, equestrian events - a full day out for the whole family.

Charlestown Regatta week 22nd – 28th July. A week of fun events for all the family including includes events such as the fun triathlon, raft races, donkey derby, live music and colourful carnival to raise funds for the local community.

Royal Cornwall Museum Sword & Jewellery Making 22nd – 23rd July Truro.The process of making a sword or jewellery forged from metal is more involved than you’ve seen in films and this is a chance for you to see it up close and personal! 

Great British Festival 22nd – 23rd July, Kingsand & Cawsand. A celebration of all things British with vintage, artisan & food stalls, live music, dancing, drama performances, workshops, circus acts, children’s entertainment, cream teas, refreshments and lots more!

St. Endellion Summer Music festival 25th July – 4th August. Internationally famous festival. Symphony orchestra and a chorus of 75, with guest artistes, encompasses the classics from Brahms to Stravinsky, music from Broadway and late night brass band.

Pentillie Castle & Estate, Outdoor Theater, 26th July. Outdoor Theatres Event - Comedy of Errors – Wednesday 26th July 2017. Performance at 7.30pm, Gardens open from 5.30pm.

Port Eliot festival 27th – 30th July, St Germans. Described as a literary festival, but with the feel of a garden party. Attracts mix of celebs, art lovers, foodies, party animals and book worms

ZestiFAL 27th – 30th August, Falmouth. Celebration of Falmouth’s healthy outlook and lifestyle. ZestiFAL will showcase a whole range of different activities inviting the public to have a go.

Boconnoc Steam Fair 28th – 30th July. An old fashioned steam extravaganza held annually in the magnificent grounds of the Boconnoc Estate. Showcases vintage vehicles including full size and miniature steam engines. 

Gin & Jazz in the Park 29th July, Penzance. Hand selected flavoursome and unique spirits along with some very fine music and delectable mixers to create a summer garden party at Penzance’s premier summer venue!

Looe Carnival week 30th July – 5th August The highlight of the Looe Lions' calendar with a week of events that appeal to everyone. Entertainment for the whole family is guaranteed as the busy seaside town gears up for seven days of fun.

Padstow seafood and beer festival 12th August The inaugural Padstow Seafood & Beer festival in aid of charity for the the National Lobster Hatchery.

Fowey regatta and carnival 13th – 19th August One of the best local regattas in the country,with a fun-filled week for all the family. Events include a midweek Carnival and a spectacular firework display, and the Red Arrows return!

Tregony Heavy horse show and county fair13th August. Tregony annual Heavy Horse Show and Country Fayre presents the parading and judging of heavy horses and shetland ponies.

Get Active Truro festival 16th – 19th August, Lemon quay Truro. Lemon Quay in the centre of Truro will be transformed into a sports and activity hub as the ‘Get Active Truro Festival' presents an abundance of free activities including ‘come and try’ sports sessions & demos

Cornish steam and county fair 18th – 20th August Redruth. Previously know as the West of England Steam Rally. Up to 100 full size and miniature steam engines from all over the country, rural craft displays & children's entertainment. 

Bude Carnival 19th August. Delightful annual carnival procession through Bude, money collected on the day is donated to local charities and organisations. Afternoon events are held in the Castle Grounds.

Cornwall Foak Folk Festival 24th – 28th August, Waidebridge.  Brings folk’s best to Cornwall, showcases Cornwall to the world. Dougie Maclean, Cara Dillon and many more. Wadebridge pulses with regional talent at one of Britain’s finest small festivals.

Newlyn fish festival 28th August Celebrating all things fishy in Britain’s premier fishing port where you can satisfy your appetite with the best seafood you’re likely to find anywhere and help to raise money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

Bude Jazz 29th August – 1st September. Bude has been involved in staging jazz festivals for 25 years and is renowned world-wide for its support for the music.

Heritage Open Days  7th – 10th September Celebrates England's fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival 8th – 10th September, Truro. The Little Apple Festival is held over 3 days within the grounds of Healey's Cyder farm where the famous Rattler Cyder is created – Tickets include tractor rides around the orchards and working farm and free Cyder samples.

Eden’s Festival of Food 8th – 10th Septemeber. An array of celebrity chefs giving demonstrations on a specific day during this amazing festival of food

Fowey Valley music festival 15th – 16th September.  The Fowey Valley Music festival is  held in the beautiful seaside town of Fowey  and presents two of Britain’s most popular classical musicians: clarinettist Emma Johnson, MBE, and guitarist Craig Ogden.  

Great Cornish Food Festival 22nd– 24th September, Lemon quay Truro. Truro’s Lemon Quay will transform into foodie heaven for three days of eating, drinking, shopping and entertainment as the festival celebrates the food revolution that has taken place in Cornwall over the past 12 years. Demonstrating just why the county’s thriving food scene is loved by food connoisseurs from far and wide, this is one food event not to be missed.

Looe Music Festival 29th September – 1st October. The last of the summer festivals in a dramatic, magical location. Visit for the day, or stay all weekend. Friday night headlineThe Jesus & Mary Chain, more acts to be announced.

British Paddle surfing national championships 30th September – 1st October. the two-day stand up paddle surfing tournament at Watergate bay, Newquay, in which British champions will be crowned.

Eden Beer Festival 30th September This evening of beery fun, fabulous food and live music with St Austell Brewery, will feature a huge range of speciality beers and ciders.
